Best software for tailors and fashion designers in Nigeria (2026)
By Olusegun Osunrinde, Founder, Sentralbee · 4 October 2026
For Nigerian tailors in 2026, Stylebitt is best for a cheap measurement book and order tracker, Bumpa for selling ready-made pieces online, and Sentralbee for fashion houses that need to know the true cost of each piece, track fabric and run production. A notebook and WhatsApp still works at very low volume.
The short version
There is no single best app for every tailor. There is a best app for the problem you have right now. Here is the honest shortlist, as of October 2026.
| Option | Best for | Price (as of October 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Stylebitt | Solo tailors who mainly need a measurement book, order tracker and invoices on the phone | Free 1-month trial, then $2, $10 or $30 a month |
| Bumpa | Selling ready-made pieces online, with a website, Paystack checkout and point of sale | Free plan with limits, paid plans from ₦55,000 a year |
| Sentralbee | Fashion houses that need true cost per piece, fabric stock and a production board | Free for 20 orders a month, Pro ₦7,500 a month |
| Notebook and WhatsApp | One person, very few orders, zero cost | Free |
| Spreadsheets | Owners who like to build their own system | Free |
We make Sentralbee, so read our part with that in mind. We have tried to be fair to everyone else. Competitor facts come from their public pages, checked in October 2026.
What should a tailor look for in software?
Look for the thing that costs you the most money or time today. For most tailors that is one of four things: lost measurements, forgotten orders, unpaid balances, or prices that don't cover the fabric and time.
A good app for a fashion business should help with some of these:
- Measurements kept with each order, not on scraps of paper
- Order tracking so you know what is due and when
- Invoices and payment links so customers can pay without long bank-transfer chats
- True cost of each outfit: fabric, lining, thread, buttons, offcuts, hours and delivery
- Team work if you have tailors or apprentices
No app does everything best. Choose the one that fixes your biggest leak.
Is Stylebitt good for tailors?
Yes, if your main need is measurements and order tracking. Stylebitt is a Nigerian app made for tailors and fashion designers, and it is very cheap.
As of October 2026, Stylebitt offers:
- Up to 60 female and 50 male measurement points, with custom measurements on its Business plan
- Order status from booked to ready, and assigning team members to orders
- Invoices, receipts and debt tracking, with payment links on Business and above
- Plans at $2, $10 and $30 a month, after a one-month free trial
- iPhone and Android apps
In our research we did not find fabric stock, material costing or cost per order. It is also fashion-only.
Best for: a solo tailor or small fashion house that wants a measurement book and order tracker on the phone for a few dollars a month. If that is all you need, Stylebitt is a strong choice. See our Sentralbee vs Stylebitt comparison.
Is Bumpa good for fashion businesses?
Bumpa is good if you mostly sell ready-made clothes. It is a Nigerian app for running an online store and recording sales.
As of October 2026, Bumpa offers:
- A website, Paystack checkout, point of sale and invoices
- Instagram and Facebook DMs inside the app, as a paid feature
- Customer records that can store a dress size
- A free plan with limits and a 14-day trial, with paid plans billed quarterly or yearly (Starter is ₦15,000 a quarter or ₦55,000 a year)
In our research we did not find raw material stock, recipe costing, production stages or measurement sheets. It is built for finished goods.
Best for: a fashion brand that sells ready-to-wear stock online and wants storefront and marketing tools in one cheap app. Bumpa covers far more of the storefront and marketing side than Sentralbee does. See Sentralbee vs Bumpa.
Is Sentralbee good for tailors?
Yes, if you make to order and want to know what each piece really costs. Sentralbee is one app for businesses that make what they sell.
What it does for a fashion house today:
- Materials with cost, supplier and a low-stock level. Fabric, lining, thread, buttons, all of it.
- Product costing from a list of materials plus labour and extra cost lines you add. The cost updates when your material prices change.
- Below-cost alerts. The Bee, our built-in AI partner, suggests a price from your margin rule.
- Made-to-order lines with an agreed price and measurements on each line, and a promised date on each order.
- A production board with your own stages, such as cutting, sewing and finishing, with orders assigned to people and stuck or overdue orders flagged.
- One inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Gmail. You create the order from the chat in a few taps.
- Invoices, payment links and a list of orders delivered but not yet paid.
- Web, iPhone and Android.
Measurements live on the order line, not on a saved customer profile. If you want a deep measurement book with dozens of named points per customer, Stylebitt is stronger there today.
Pricing: Free for up to 20 orders a month. Costing starts on Pro at ₦7,500 a month. Deposit and balance billing, roles and the audit log are on Enterprise plans. See pricing and Sentralbee for fashion houses.
Best for: fashion houses and bespoke tailors who want true cost per outfit, fabric stock and a production board in one place.
Is a notebook and WhatsApp enough?
At very low volume, yes. Most tailors in Nigeria start here, and it works while it is just you and a few orders a month.
The trouble starts as you grow. Measurements, orders and payment proof get buried in chats. Nothing links your fabric to your prices. The WhatsApp Business app allows up to four linked devices and one phone, so sharing it across a team gets hard.
Best for: one person, a handful of orders, and a wish to spend nothing.
Are spreadsheets good for a tailoring business?
They are flexible and free, so they suit owners who like to build their own system. You can list fabric prices, measurements and orders, and add formulas for cost.
The risk is errors. Panko's review of spreadsheet audits found errors in at least 86% of the spreadsheets checked with careful methods. A small mistake in a cost formula can quietly cost you on every order. Spreadsheets also won't update a price when fabric goes up, unless you do it yourself.
Best for: owners who are comfortable with formulas and check them often. See Sentralbee vs spreadsheets.
How do I choose?
Start with your biggest problem:
- "I keep losing measurements." Try Stylebitt, or Sentralbee's measurements on each order line.
- "I want to sell ready-made pieces online." Try Bumpa.
- "I am busy but never seem to make money." You likely have a pricing problem. Cost one outfit properly first.
- "Orders get stuck and I don't know where." You need a production board.
